Steam installs proton on its own when you just click the button insettings so you don’t even need to install proton. Just works

You may find it hard to believe but that doesnt mean you are right. Most ditros are quite easy to set up. Ubuntu and Mint are both already modified Debian. Why not some other modified one? A distro modified to game is already set up for gaming.

My personal laptop is an HP elite with a 6850h ryzen and its great. Running Ferdora KDE and works amazing. My wife’s MB air M1 is a little nicer, but macOS…ugh

Is this somewhat normal for installing Linux on an old macbook? Everything I install Linux on these days…everything just works. I haven’t gone through something like this in ages. But I have considered getting and old macbook air and putting Linux on it. This is making me think they don’t function very well een though it is intel?

I just tried it, only was able to find it in the Commander Pack. Played just fine for me with just double clicking the installer, then clicking the new exe

haven’t tried Photoshop, but what exe didn’t work in wine for you? If I load them in with Lutris, I haven’t found anything I can’t run. Just having wine installed and double clicking an exe I haven’t had as much luck, it doesn’t find dependencies.

Edit: I misread. I can try out Total Annihilation and see if it works. Lutris + protonGE has been pretty much perfect for me these days

Not the poster above, but just wondering here. I don’t use Adobe products. I can see a VM not being the best. How about Wine? Can you just install Photoshop via vutris and go?
