I don’t think so. He has been a developer for at least a decade. I did not find code smell or bad habits. He does cover his code with plenty of tests. Sonarcloud shows very little issues with the code. That is with all original measures and rules in place.

The dev seems to do all the right things including disclaiming the use of AI.

Since this is vibe coded, I’d definitely like to see lots of testing in the same repo. And why not add automated testing in GitHub action on new pushed commits so we can all see the results without cloning it.

That could give some credibility to the code.

I think the main difference is that services adapt to mqtt while nfty adapts to services to send the msgs. Also, nfty offers push notifications on your Android device.

I’m trying to find an easy way to redo my VMs and configs, I’ve started learning terraform to build my VMs and create a cloud init to install all necessary things. Then I think I’ll use ansible for the remaining and put back my configs.

While I’m sure this will work well, I find this is a huge amount of work. I’m hoping someone else has some good ideas / lessons learned about that.

I love the concept too and I just hope it will catch on much more than this. To convert your compose files you could use Podlet. I’m also working on converting it to JavaScript(PodletJS) so it’s available in it-tools.

Go for Podlet though, really nice for command lines.
