If you make a tag for AI, what’s the purpose of making everything people want to see explicitly say (not AI)?
People that want to use that shit, need to learn to be upfront about and realistic about how the vast majority of people view AI produced… Well, ai anything.

Look at OPs profile and you’ll quickly see all the massive issues with their great plan of “4chan with absolutely zero moderation”.

OP’s profile:
Working on Plebbit
For those who don’t know, that was a shitty hard right wing social media that kept talking vaguely about how it was like crypto and torrenting.
For years now people have been spamming it to the threadiverse and trying to trick people into joining.
If you go to this website:
It lists 5chan as inspiration…
And people are upvoting and promoting this entirely unmoderated chan board because two seconds of research is too difficult…
Like, c’mon people, critical thinking is important now more than ever
Quick edit:
And to be clear this is the exact same project OP always spams, they just keep changing the name of it. It used to be accessible over the web tho, which allowed everyone to see the fucking horrendously racist, bigoted, and outright illegal shit they want people to be able to post.

I only care about the 4tb of personal data and I push that to a cloud backup
I have doubles of the data. Some of 'em. That way I know I have a pristine one in backup. Then I can use it, it gets corrupted, I don’t care.
Actually, I have triples of the W2s. I have triples, right? If I don’t, the other stuff’s not true.
See, the W2s the one I have triples of. Oh, no, actually, I also have triples of the kids photos, too. But just those two. And your dad and I are the same age, and I’m rich and I have triples of the W2s and the kids photos.
Triples makes it safe.
Triples is best.

Something people would actually use is a message board.
One of the simple cut and paste forums and pay the $10/month to get it hosted.
Just have people text you to approve registration, something you can verify people are really in the neighborhood

People aren’t going to want to download a bunch of stuff they don’t know about to hang out with the HOA for game nights…
The main problem with HOAs is lonely bored people who want something to do.
Most people would rather pretend the HOA doesn’t exist until it’s needed for an actual issue.

If I said there was two types of fruit, would you there’s more than two species of fruit?

There’s two types of fediverse basically.
Reddit knockoff
Twitter knockoff
Sometimes a #2 can post to a #1, they stand out because they always tag people and us hashtags in comments, when they manage to create a post, they never seem aware and get very very belligerent when people try to explain what they did that created a post.
If you want to engage with them on their level, you need an account on a twitter knockoff.

Prebuilts have become about the only way to get a deal for a while now.

I’m almost positive outlook can be set up to do it on its own, I was just too lazy to Google how to set it up

It’s called a dead man’s switch and there’s not really anything complicated about it.
The thing is, it’s so so simple I doubt anyone has made a full on app to do it.
Like, the people who do that stuff aren’t the type to require an app to do everything for them.

What’s actually bad about it?
Like, this is something you opt into and is only relevant if you’re watching their ad supported stuff, which I don’t know anyone who watches that over their own media on Plex.
And honestly, every “bad” thing I’ve ever heard about Plex has been the same thing, something that sounds horrible until you understand it

If you’re watching their “free” content and agree to that box…
The title made it seem waaaaay worse than what the screenshot actually says

People constantly told OP that, but they just won’t stop making posts about it

Lots of places play loosely with the terminology, but in general:
Refurbished: they wipes the dust off
Recertified: had an issue, was sent back to manufacturer who fixed it and checked everything else.
Past advice was always buy new, but drives last much longer than they used to. And lots of business replace to be safe when a drive could last another decade just fine.

And zero moderation!

It’s basically 4chan and OP keeps begging people to join it

Out of curiosity, how old was that drive?
Correct, that is the reason people would support an AI tag…
Because for the vast majority of people, they don’t want AI anything
But…
1000% not discrimination
